الشتات السوداني واقف مع السودان

A diaspora that shows up for Sudan.

SDN is a youth-led nonprofit that moves diaspora money and skills to Sudanese-led groups doing the work, and shows exactly where every dollar went.

What we do

Four areas, one for each stroke of our logo.

Humanitarian relief

Food, water, medical care and shelter, delivered by local responders and Sudanese organisations inside Sudan, Egypt and Chad.

Diaspora mobilisation

Iftars, campaigns and volunteer networks that turn the diaspora's goodwill into steady support.

Skills and livelihoods

Free certifications for displaced young professionals, scholarships, and projects that keep producing after our funding ends.

Advocacy and partnerships

Putting Sudanese-led groups in front of funders and policymakers, and pushing for money to reach them directly.

Guests at a Layali Ramadan iftar in the Washington DC area

Layali Ramadan

Every Ramadan since 2019, SDN runs Layali Ramadan: iftars across North America and the UK, and talks online. Volunteers are repaid for what they spend, and the rest goes to the Sudan Benefit Fund.

In 2026, iftars ran in Arizona, the Washington DC area, London and Manchester.
